In 1973, the progress of the family business resulted in
Mr. Sherman de Silva inviting his children to join the business and incorporating
a new company under the name and style of Shermans Sons Limited.
Since then, his sons have taken the business to new heights,
increasing the capital/asset base through a diversified portfolio
and developing the company into a household name. In the year 2006,
the company was restructured to better reflect
its diversified business interests. As such, Eshana De Silva incorporated
and launched Esna Holdings which acquired Shermans Logistics, Sherman Transport and
Shermans International. The Esna group of companies has a
diversified portfolio which includes investments in the
Banking and Financial sectors, Logistics under Shermans
Logistics and Shermans Transport, Import and Export under Shermans International,
the leisure sector under Esna Villas, the power sector under
Esna Power and many other sectors under the group.
The company is committed to preserve and continue the business traditions
and ethics practiced for generations.
